‘Job applications in 2030: Do students have right skills?’
Today I watched an interesting session which is called: ‘Job applications in 2030: Do students have right skills?’ https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/article/job-applic.. By the way, speakers of this session are: Tim Goodier and Mike Mayor. I consider this session enthralling because the speakers were speaking not only about necessary skills for employability at the present time, but also about some skills that employers will be looking for in future, for example, in 2020 or 2030. The most necessary of them are: judgment and decision making, fluency of ideas, active learning, learning strategies and originality. Tim Goodier and Mike Mayor told the audience that they did not have enough time to consider everything in details which is so disappointing. I wish I had an opportunity to be at that conference and maybe even ask the experts some questions about their research.
